Morven from Maiden Pap
Morven from Maiden Pap - watercolour, 25 x 16 cm
Maiden Pap is a prominent hill in the South of Caithness (see photo), with wide-ranging views in all directions. It looks across to Morven, the main mountain in the range. My aim here was to suggest the vertiginous view from the summit, and the expanse of open ground between the two mountains, while still giving Morven a commanding presence.
